Staubitz, Augustus Henry John

Born at Buffalo, NY; deafened as a baby by spinal meningitis; attended the Western New York School for the Deaf (Rochester) and Moody Bible Institute. Ordained a minister in 1924 in Kitchiner, Ontario, Canada; had missions in western NY state and in Ohio. Minister at Cameron Methodist Church of the Deaf, Cincinnati, OH for about 30 years; retired in 1956; died at Buffalo, NY and is buried in Derby, NY. Married Florence Agnes Gardiner in 1909 until her death in 1924; remarried to Laura Berry Minkle in 1926 until her death in 1939; remarried a third time in 1943 to Kathleen Victoria Fleming Stinson.
