Monahan, Leah Jane Wallis

Born at Westlock, AB and deaf at 2 months from illness. Mackay School for the Deaf 1952-1955, Alberta School for the Deaf 1955-graduation 1966, plus computer and business courses at various colleges. She mostly worked as a data entry operator for various employers, but also did some general office work and worked for a time in a hospital laundry before finally retiring as a clerk with UPS in 1998. Married to Wayne Monahan (q.v.), a deaf professional truck driver.
