Yates, Maureen Amy

Born deaf at Landover, MD, into a multi-generational deaf family; Kendall Demonstration Elementary School for the Deaf, 18 months to 10 years old; Maryland School for the Deaf for 3 years, then to the Model Secondary School for the Deaf, graduating 1993. As a student at Gallaudet University, won the Miss Deaf America 1994-1996 title.
