Summary
Born at New York City; deafened by spinal meningitis at 6 1/2; attended the Lexington School for the deaf; B.A. (1911) from Gallaudet College; completed University of Pennsylvania Dental School in 1914 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Had a private practice in New York City; instructed at Columbia University; dentist attached to the Lexington and New York Schools for the deaf and to the Knickerbocker Hospital; ordained an Episcopal priest in 1950. Married Maud Peet (hearing). Retired from the clergy in 1964.
