Collins, Audrey Idella Hayden

Born deaf at Badger, NF; attended the Mackay School for the Deaf 1955-1961, then the Interprovincial School for the Deaf until leaving school at age 17. Became a food service worker at the Newfoundland School for the Deaf from 1965 to 1995, with 3 years off for mothering her children and finally retiring for medical reasons; married to deaf spouse Donald Collins. Died of cancer in St. John's, NF.
