Attended the Ontario School for the Deaf, Belleville 1924-1926; B.A.Sc. from University of Toronto, 1931-1935. Worked for a rubber company in Toronto 2 years, then in 1938 began work for Sangamo Electric Co. Ltd., rising to engineer-in-chief by 1956, retiring in 1975. Married Elsie Margaret Ibbitson in 1947.
