Penner-Zimmer, Patricia "Gail"

Born at New Westminster, BC and deafened at 18 months from adenoid surgery; raised by her maternal grandparents on a farm. Jericho Hill School for the Deaf 1954-graduation. 1978-1980 winner of the Miss Deaf Canada pageant. Keypunch operator for years until promoted to accounting and billing positions, then to financial analyst and finally to draftsperson. Married Gerald Charles John Zimmer, also deaf.
