              Summary
              Deaf in infancy from rubella, fever and ear infection, but not diagnosed as deaf until age 2. Attended the Metro Toronto School for the Deaf 1960-1972, then mainstreamed into Northern Secondary School 1972-graduation 1976. Held a variety of office and business support positions; married Barry Joseph Moore, also deaf, and quit work to be a stay-at-home mother for a while. Reentered the labor force in a position with the Canadian Hearing Society. In 1990, began teaching ASL part-time.
