              Summary
              Either born deaf or became deaf in infancy, at Blackburn, England. Her family emigrated to Canada when she was very young, and she was educated at the Mackay School for the Deaf. Worked for a time as a weaver for a retail store chain, then at a hotel. Married John Gregory, also deaf, who was a lay minister; she joined him in his missionary work and in deaf organizations. In later years, worked as a teacher's aide at the Mackay School and also provided day-care services to hearing children. Also was foster parent to several deaf children.
