Feld, Rose Steinberg

Attended the Israelite School for the deaf in Berlin before its destruction by the Nazis. Married Max Feld, who was later arrested by the Nazis and died in a concentration camp; Rose survived the war and emigrated to America, settling in California. The Felds' story was told by a photo-narrative display, In der Nacht, based on pictures from their scrapbook plus supplementary material, and exhibited throughout the country and at Gallaudet University.
