Richards, Janet R. Crocker

Born at Creston, NF; deafened at 6 months from illness. Mackay School for the Deaf, Interprovincial School for the Deaf, and Newfoundland School for the Deaf, graduating the latter in 1969. Later took many continuing education and vocational courses at community colleges. Worked at various odd jobs, then worked as a records classifier for over 15 years for the Canadian government. Also taught ASL in her spare time.
