Summary
Hearing. Born and died at Washington, DC; B.A. 1891, Harvard University; M.A., Columbian University (now George Washington University), 1893. At Gallaudet College, was a Normal (graduate) student and then a teacher, 1895-1910; succeeded Edward Miner Gallaudet as second President of Gallaudet College, 1910 until retirement in 1945. Married a deaf woman, Ethel Taylor (q.v., Gallaudet class of 1900). Hall Memorial Building on the Gallaudet University campus is named for him.
