Mackie, Robyn Dawne

Born deaf at Edmonton, AB from maternal rubella; adopted by a family in Calgary, AB. Attended the deaf program at Queen Elizabeth Elementary School and then mainstreamed into Queen Elizabeth Junior/Senior High School. Entered Mount Royal College, then transferred to University of Calgary, becoming the first deaf student to graduate there, 1998. Literacy teacher for the deaf at Bow Valley College. Participated in competition skiing in Canadian games and the 1991 World Winter Games for the Deaf. Married Dean Stuber, also deaf, in 1999.
