Summary
Born deaf at Reston, MB. Graduated the Saskatchewan School for the Deaf in 1958; married Gordon Henshaw, also deaf, in 1961. Worked 8 years for Canada Post. With her husband, also operated for 10 years a group home for deaf and multihandicapped children. Eventually she went to work for the E.C. Drury School for the Deaf, first in miscellaneous jobs and then as an instructor in independent living skills.
