Birley, Lois Evelyn Krismer

Born deaf at Abbey, SK; 3 years in the Saskatoon School for the Deaf, then mainstreamed into public schools through high school. Took a business course, then worked many years as a typist and file clerk in various businesses. Married William Birley, also deaf, in 1974. Worked as a data entry operator for a variety of Regina, SK, businesses before retirement in 1987. An accomplished curling player, participating in many deaf and hearing curling competitions.
