Summary
Graduated the Virginia School for the Deaf and the Blind; B.A. (1968) from Gallaudet College, M.A. from New York University. Used the name of Jane Wilk for a while. Member of the National Theatre of the Deaf; in 1971, as Jane Wilk, won a local Emmy, shared with Peter Wechsberg, for Newsign 4, a pioneering TV news program with deaf newscasters; in 1977, still as Jane Wilk, guest starred in an episode of the TV show Westside Medical. Beginning in the 1990s, faculty member of the Television, Photography, and Educational Technology Department at Gallaudet University. Older sister of Freda Norman.
