Summary
Born near Maitland, MO; deaf at 3 months of age. Attended the Missouri School for the deaf for 10 years, leaving in 1893. Worked as a printer until 1900 when he founded The Eye newspaper at Maitland. In Fall 1901, bought the Graham, MO Post, running both newspapers until 1902 when The Eye was sold.
