Olson, Edward P.

Native of Salem, SD; entered the South Dakota School for the Deaf in 1892. After leaving school, purchased a weekly newspaper in 1907, the Wakonda Monitor. Sold it the next year and planned to buy another newspaper in Centerville, SD, but that plan fell through and he ended up working briefly for the Soo Critic in Sioux Falls, SD. Married Anna Gersdorf of Marshalltown, IA. Active in the SD deaf community during the 1920s and 1930s.
