Lomax, Lisa Starr

Born deaf at St. John, NB, but deafness not discovered until 1 year old. Began preschool at 2 1/2, then in 1975 transferred to an elementary school day class. Enrolled at the Interprovincial School for the Deaf, Amherst, NS, 1979-1986, then Forest Hills Jr. HS [Amherst] 1986-1988 and the Atlantic Technological Vocational Centre, graduating 1990. Worked as a custodian for a hotel during the day and for the St. John School Board at nights. Had minor roles in two Marlee Matlin films that were shot in St. John.
