Summary
Born at New York City; deafened at age 3; studied art with various American teachers, then in Europe; became a student for 3 years at the Ecole des Beaux Arts, Paris. In Spain and Morocco, 1870-1874; in New York City, 1874; in 1881, went to Japan for 2 years; then to Europe until 1914, thence to Philadelphia. After World War I, shuttled between the U.S. and Europe, where he died in Paris. Brother of Gideon E. Moore (q.v.).
