Hard of hearing. As a student at Hofstra University, set records in wrestling, compiling a 44-1-1 record with 38 victories by falls; placed 2nd in 1969 NCAA championships; gold and silver medals in wrestling in international athletic games for the deaf. Wrestling coach at Gallaudet College and long-time warehouse supervisor at Gallaudet, retiring in 2000 after 32 years of service.
