Born in Juthorn, Germany, as Anna Catharina Elisabeth Kludt; widowed young (Morin); became second wife of Samuel Heinicke (q.v.); aided her husband in the operation of his school for the deaf at Leipzig; after his death in 1790, she took over the operation of this school and remained in that position almost 40 years.
