Westerlund, Heather Anne Maxine

Born deaf at Calgary, AB. Entered Stanley Jones (public) School in Calgary at age 5, briefly transferred to Queen Elizabeth School, but then attended the Alberta School for the Deaf, graduating 1988. Assisted on her parents' farm and taught ASL classes, then went to college at Lakeland College and Red Deer College, earning a diploma in kinesiology. Worked for a time as an assistant in a veterinary clinic while studying animal health technology at Olds Agricultural College, 2000- .
