Jones, Clyde S.

First deaf person to earn two doctoral degrees (one in public health and the other an M.D.). Headed the Veterans Bureau Laboratory in Milwaukee, taught at St. Louis College of Physicians and Surgeons, and was city bacteriologist for East St. Louis, IL, for 8 years; crusaded against impure milk and helped raise cleanliness standards in the dairy industry.
