              Summary
              Graduated the Texas School for the Deaf, 1944, and Gallaudet College, 1949. Earned a private pilot's license at age 18. Taught at the New Mexico School for the Deaf for 2 years, then switched to government work at the Los Alamos, NM atomic laboratory. Worked with one of the world's earliest computers, MANIAC; later programmed an early graphics computer to make pictures and simple movies. Also studied advanced mathematics at the University of California.
