Saunders-Roth, Heather Anne Shand

Adopted in Montreal, QC by a deaf couple, one of whom was Annie Bell Shand (q.v.). Attended the Mackay Centre for the Deaf. Worked at various jobs including bank clerk, photo finisher, office clerk, and designer. A motorcyclist and possibly the first deaf female "biker" in Canada. Met and married Amos Saunders, a deaf American, in 1980; lived in various parts of the U.S.; dropped out of California State University, Chico when her third child was born.
