Summary
Grew up at Flensburg, MN, and graduated Gallaudet University, 1995-2000. Holder of the all-time NCAA Division III volleyball record for "kills", having 2,496 kills as of November 1998 and with one more year of eligibility left. Twice holder of the Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Week honor, and was named to five all-tournament teams. Named to the All-Mid-Atlantic region team in both freshman and sophomore years after posting 2 of the top-five single-season kill totals in NCAA history, and in 1997 set a Division III single season record.Was also a strong basketball player, named to the NCAA Division III All-American basketball team after leading the nation in blocks, finishing second in scoring, and fourth in rebounding. Led the U.S. basketball team to a gold medal at the 1997 World Games for the Deaf. Drafted in late 2000 by the Kansas City Legacy, a new professional women's basketball team. When that team folded within a few months, she was invited to play for a Danish professional women's basketball team. In early 2004, she signed a contract to play for the Dallas Fury in the National Womens Basketball League.
