Goldfogle, Alexander

Deaf at 2 from scarlet fever; attended the New York Institution for the Deaf and Dumb (Fanwood). Apprenticed as a printer and worked that field until entering his brother's law office as a clerk; eventually being appointed Commissioner of Deeds and, later, worked as a clerk in the register's office of New York County.
