Pizzacalla, Helen Vera Wojcik

Born deaf at Kitchener, ON; Ontario School for the Deaf 3 years, then graduated the E.C. Drury School for the Deaf in 1971 and Gallaudet College in 1976. Worked many years in business offices, then returned to school to earn a teacher's certificate from York University in 1993. Became a teacher at the E.C. Drury School from 1993 onward. Spouse Mario Pizzacalli was also deaf.
