Hearing. Born to deaf mother and deaf father (Albert Berg [II], q.v.) in Indianapolis, IN. Graduated La Salle University and the University of Pennsylvania. Taught at the Louisiana, Alabama, and Pennsylvania schools for the deaf before becoming assistant superintendent at the Iowa School for the Deaf in 1936, and eventually the superintendent until retirement in 1960. Died at Ames, IA.
