Summary
Born deaf at Seattle, WA; attended special and mainstreamed schools, graduating Bellevue High School in 1969. BFA from Central Washington University, 1973, and MFA from Rochester Institute of Technology, 1976. Widely exhibited, especially in the Seattle and Rochester areas. After his untimely death, the Behnke family set up an annual art fellowship in his memory.
