Hard of hearing. Graduated North Dakota School for the Deaf, 1929; Gallaudet College, B.A., 1935. Teacher at the American School for the Deaf for 37 years. Active in the Episcopal Church, the Connecticut Association of the Deaf, Gallaudet University Alumni Association, and Deaf Senior Citizens Organization (Westerville, OH).
