Summary
Attended the Institution Catholique des Sourds Muets in Montreal 1917-1922, apprenticed in shoemaking, then worked for a shoe store owned by another deaf person. Decided to hike across Canada from Montreal to Vancouver, BC in 1932; upon succeeding, stayed in BC or a while, working in the highway repair department of the provincial government. In 1936, he set out to walk across the country again, but was struck and killed by a train early in the walk.
